"For the safe passage through childhood"
Your Subtitle text

Our children deserve our very best, most diligent efforts to provide a safe and secure childhood.  Predators and habitual abusers shatter a child’s innocence when they attack.

At least 100 children are abducted by strangers each year in the U.S., of which 74 percent are murdered within three hours of their abduction. In 80 percent of the cases, the initial contact between the predator and the victim was within one-quarter mile of the victim's home.  More than half the reported cases were based solely on opportunity.

Enhanced prevention (of violence) techniques and programs must be adopted within local communities.  Punishing offenders for their evil deeds does not restore lost innocence or a child’s life. Through education of children, parents and school officials and heightened awareness of our community at large, we can prevent future acts of violence against our children.

Founded in January 2010 as a not-for-profit, our mission at Children's Safe Passage, Inc. is to assist children, parents and educators in protecting children from abduction, physical or sexual abuse, violence and other forms of exploitation in the North Florida / Jacksonville area through proactive preventative programs.   We will accomplish this through local initiatives that promote and support community awareness and implementation of effective solutions through direct support for existing and future programs that focus on prevention.

Children's Safe Passage, Inc. is a proponent of Child Lures Prevention, Inc., the national organization which works toward the prevention of crimes against children and youth through education and awareness.  "We can make this a safer and gentler world for children."

Sponsored by First Baptist Church of Orange Park, Child Lures Prevention hosted a free, two-hour seminar on child lures awareness and prevention on March 6, 2010.  Click
